Cats rock! Cats stoned on nip rock also.
Marvel or DC? What's your feeling on the whole Spider-Man/MJ "Brand New Day" storyline?
Cool. Another comic book geek.
Thank YOU.
And what's the deal with this "Brand New Day" story? I had my Spidey sub cut off and missed parts 2 and 3 of the "One More Day" arc. Did Aunt May die (again)? I just got part 4 and all of a sudden it's looking like a reboot.
Nice kitty.
I love the avatar pic! lol
Your cats and Pookie are adorable. I also love the dragonfly pics.

Thanks for the add. My daughter went to Eastern High School. Have fun in Indy.
Hey, thanks for adding me! The last time I was at your store there was a diaper flushing issue (you might remember, LOL!). I hope you got that worked out. :-) When were the Clerks stars at the store? My husband and I would have been there; we love Kevin Smith movies and their actors! We just watched the first Clerks movie over the weekend. I see you love kitties too; yours are beautiful! Have a great week.
Yes, the diaper incident was at the downtown store, last summer I believe. The guy working that day said that somebody next door had flushed a diaper, so the store smelled pretty nasty.
My husband and his friends dressed like the Clerks at Dragon*Con (Atlanta convention) two years ago. My husband was supposed to be Dante. He tried to dye his hair black, but it didn't work. They had the jerseys and everything and even taped on the words I can't repeat here (hint: they're taking it back!).
Talk to you later!
My appreciation toward your consideration. May fortune continue as your path.

Rictor! You on the Projekt Revolution tix today!
Thanks for the response there! I am actually reading that paper you cited, and I have a few issues with it.
1.) He notes that both Spider-Man and Superman begin with comic book panels, which is inaccurate. Spider-Man has the flipping comic book panels for the Marvel film logo, but it's not really part of the film. The first film's opener was simply the spider web motif. In contrast Superman actually shows a boy opening a comic book as an intro.
2.) I like the metaphorical subtext he discusses about skies and the heavens, but he seems to miss out on the metaphor of Spider-Man swinging on a web. He therefore is constantly falling back toward the ground and has to constantly pull himself back into the heavens, which kind of symbolizes him as a bit of a different figure than Superman, who effortlessly flies to and fro.
3.) What's the deal with it turning into erotic fiction half way through? Talking about Spider-Man "he romantically kissed her wet, hot body with inviting bosom and prominent nipples in the raining streetscape"?
I don't know...I don't think this is much evidence that Spider-Man 2 is a ripoff of Superman II. There are certainly a lot of superficial similarities between the characters, and common plot themes in the sequels, but I think there are plenty of differences as well.
I like the discussion, though.
Without a doubt. How could it not be? It IS the granddaddy of superhero movies.
