Today:
Ok I said I would update and give a better bio when time would allow so here it is in all its glory..I am 36 soon to be 37 tax dead-line B-day. I am Irish, Scottish, Indian and Black and I love it..simply love it..can be hard at times but I was told as a child that mixed people are so beautiful because they are an example of the way God wants us to be...lol..vain but it God me through those rough times..I work in Castleton as a QMA and a CNA at times, I love my job I think nursing is a healthy way of co-dependent living ha and besides I try to find a positive in everything.. I worked for several years as a Delaware County Officer...during that time I also worked with the mental health department within the jail as a counselor and advocate for battered women and women who had suffered sexual assault in any of its ugly forms.I also became an expert witness for several women who were on trial for commiting crimes while suffering from Battered Women's Syndrome...My time in college was spent as a Criminology student and it educated me to the fact that 97% of all women incarcerated had been a victim of sexual assault...and thats out of the20% of the rape crimes that are actually reported.. so...anyway I also became a motivational speaker so-to-speak going to jails and women shelters educating them on becoming a survivor v/s a victim for life of sexual assault...so anyway I am here for friends and networking. I am a proud mother of adult twins and an adult son..2 grandbabies...hobbie wise..My first love poetry, second music....art etc...I love me some Jesus..life...and well thats it...God Bless Ya...

Welcome Kim ...I'm thinkin' you are gonna like this site. Enjoy =)
The Midtown Arts and Coffee Lounge is Awesome! Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Glad to hear you're excited about using indy.com to find spoken word events. Here are some tips to help you find them:
Check out posts that have been tagged spoken word. This link will show you them: http://www.indy.com/posts/tag/spoken+word
Use the people search. Click on the arrow next to "Posts / Stories" that you'll find under the logo up top and choose people from the dropdown menu. Type in spoken word into the search box and it will find users with this interest. Become one of their fans and check out there profiles periodically to keep up with their posts. Here is who comes up from that search
Go to the Things to do page. On the left side, you'll see several categories including an "Additional categories" link. After clicking that, you'll see that "Spoken Word" is an option. Click on that too see upcoming spoken word events.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know.
