Today:
A true baby boomer (2/6/46) I've been in the movie business most of my life, beginning with a 16mm projector in the 4th grade and "building" my first cinema in Vietnam. Key Cinemas came into being in 1999 as the third incarnation of my arthouse dream. I have owned the Emerson Theatre and the best theatre this town ever had: The Eastwood.

key cinemas shows awesome movies!
Yes it does. It's one of the best venues in the city! You haven't seen movies in Indy until you've seen one at Key.
Glad you're alive and kickin' through it all.
Long Live the Key!!!
I know this is my fault and I'd like to remedy it. my problem is that I usually find out about what I wanted to see AFTER it is shown and is gone from the Key. Yes, I get The Star, but evidently I skim over things more than I thought. Which do you consider your most informative site? I'm glad you are on Indy.com now. I suspect it will be a big help to my information gap concerning the Key. Keep up the good work.
By the way, yes the Eastwood was the best of the theaters that were not downtown back in the day. Worst experience I had at the Eastwood... getting carded then talking my way in to see Woodstock (the movie of course). Best experience... seeing Gone With The Wind, during my college years, before that film stopped (for the most part) being shown on the big screen.
Love your theater and it's great to have your input on the site. Thanks!
Hey, not sure if anyone's dropped you a note but grab a copy of this week's INtake. Your profile got some ink on page 6. A good little biz profile.
I've been visiting you since you opened... Big hug!!!
Key Cinema......since you ran the projector at Eastwood theater, maybe you can tell me if you were there when the greatest 3D movie ever played there: "Coming At Ya"
Please tell me you were there, I cannot find this movie anywhere, but I know I didn't dream it, because my dad took me and my brother to see it and my ded remembers it......this movie does exist right?
Key Cinema......since you ran the projector at Eastwood theater, maybe you can tell me if ...
It does, indeed, exist and I was the blind man projecting it. We put in a special silver screen. It was one of the first done in the polaroid process instead of red-green 3D. Email me and I'll help you track it down. lobo@keycinemas.com
Happy New Year to all of you "art interest" people I'm a fan of. Perhaps our paths will cross at an art event in 2008. Perhaps in '08 there will be a loosely organized gathering of the indy.com arts community at an event or gallery walk. If so, or not, have a good one either way. Cheers!
Hey there...I just shot you an e-mail about my friend and native Hoosier filmmaker Michael Goldburg (www.myspace.com/michaelgoldburg). I'm wondering what the possibilities are of getting his shorts shown at Key.
I hope Key Cinemas Lives Forever!
