RE: the tip issue on the review. I had contacted the restaurant after I noticed the error and they have since credited back the tip amount in dispute. I deleted the review.
Thanks for the update / correction. I'll be sure to order that item when I come back there. Have a great weekend.
Mmm.. gonna have to try out that brunch pizza. Thanks for the info on new things at Jockamo and your mature and helpful response to the reviews on your venue page. I love me some Jockamo! If you have any questions about the site you're welcome to ask.
It was certainly no fault of yours or the restaurant that my evening started off rocky! Your place if anything helped turn it around.
Great place, by the way. Excellent food...I raided the fridge in the middle of the night for leftovers! Thanks!
Thanks for your reply. If you aren't trying to duplicate it, you shouldn't call it an Italian Beef sandwich. It's not even close. However, that's just my opinion. Regarding the best selling sandwich - I guess your clients have never had a good Italian Beef sandwich.
Will do monkey face! Just give Kate a good smack for me when ya see her!
Standard or not, the IB still sucks!
Just got some delivery of your product this evening. The Cheese Louise is the most aptly named pizza ever. It's just like the quattro formaggio at Bazbeaux, only 5 times better. Oopsies on the check snafu, though.
I forgot to tell them I wanted to pay by credit card on the phone and decided to write a check. The delivery guy said that he wasn't supposed to take checks, so I gave him my credit card info and he had to come back to have me sign. No big deal, though!
Thanks for your response. I love that your'e in the Irivington community now. The only problem we had with the service was that my husband and I came with another couple several months ago. The other couple got their pizza and were going to wait till we got ours to start eating, but we told them to go ahead. They had already finished thier pizza by the time ours came 30 minutes later. The waiter never told us why there was a longer wait or apologized for the wait. Other than that, the service has always been great.
No problem. You guys are doing a great job.
Everyone has their opinion. Some may like you, some may not. For those that don't, there are more tactful ways of saying so. I think you have great food. I spent 5 years working in a pizza joint so I've had my fair share of pizza.
And the fact that you're located in my neighborhood is a nice perk.
You've been very supportive of a community that is very supportive of you.
So thank you!
thanks for the reply! that's too bad about your breadsticks coming from Chicago, I still think they stand to taste more fresh and homemade. several people I have talked to have commented on their being luke warm to warm when they come out, and to having a rather dry consistency. no one wants to criticize such a great neighborhood place with amazing pizza and sauces; but an improvement in bread offerings, and brews on tap, would put you over the top! any short comings however are made up with your delivery having started though! still: better bread, and I would NEVER choose to go to Bazbeaux again. Until then, the scales have still been known to tip that way from time to time given the fresh baked bread they offer, whether or not it comes from an Italian bakery... have you thought about outdoor seating on Washington St? is that even possible?
I gotta keep it real. That is some GOOOD stuff, and if I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: the creamy parm sauce is AWESOME.
Actually, I did a class visit last night at IUPUI with the food critic at Indianapolis Monthly, who is an old prof of mine. He actually mentioned your restaurant when someone asked what Indy's best pizza was. He didn't actually say it was the best, but he said you and Bazbeaux and mentioned a couple of other places, but your name was first.
I do comedy and I have heard Gaffigins thing on Waffle House. Love your pizza you crazy monkey
Sorry, not off the top of my head. I don't get the ones you said, maybe they have something to do with your place and I'm just not getting. No offense it was just constructive criticism.
Hey there, you posted a link for signing up for 2 Irvington newsletters a while back. I already get the one from the Irvington Community Council, but not the other, and I can't find where you posted those?
Thanks for making such great pizza!
BTW, would it be too much to ask for you to move your place up to Noblesville? I just moved up there, and I'm not comfortable with The Monkey House being so far away now.
All right, I still get to the East side daily (my mother-in-law watches my kids and lives there, just minutes from your place). I'll still be able to stop by for a bite.
