Today:
Peonies From Japan (State Flower Anthem)
Purple stalks soar
toward an April sky.
In May, peonies explode:
bursts of white and pink.
June blossoms bow,
under a watchful sun.
The same one that shines
in Chiba heats farm fields
in Churubusco. The sliver
of moon that hangs over
Kyoto casts light
on a dashboard of a trucker
from Kosciusko County.

Hi there! Thanks for adding me.
JL Kato! Nice to hear from you, and I've enjoyed reading your work over the past few years (Tipton Poetry Journal and whatnot). Hope to speak with you again soon.
I'm a fan of the beats (insert snaps here).
Hum...I could maybe read. It would be an inaugural poetry-reading effort for me, so I might need some pointers from an expert (that's where you come in).
Indy has been developing a decent poetry scene. I've been collaborating with them to organize spoken word nights. There is currently one at Lazy Daze in Irvington every Thursday night and the Bean Cup in Greenwood is looking to begin a spoken word night as well. Perhaps, if we get together with some other places we can organize some other nights.
LOVE the pseudonyms post. A quota of 12 responses and they get something in return. Brilliant. Looking forward to hearing why you changed.
Thanks for the add!
Thank-you very much for the awsome links on recycling.
Hi there! Hope to see you soon. I'm glad you're still sending the Indy Bookings e-mails. Maybe I can get my butt up to the WCI soon. My daughter and I both might take a WS soon. I finally got my Beech Grove library card - yay! My husband and I lived in the Main Street Apts. when we first got married, and we're still pretty close. Maybe there will be a poetry event there soon. hint, hint ;-) Have a good day!
Thanks for add JL
Hey JL:
Thanks for the post about the road closure at the Art Center...I should have thought to bring attention to it! It's frustrating, but I think the worst confusion issues are over...pretty much like this for the rest of the spring/summer.

Hi JL Glad my restaurant is one of your favorites! The Jockamo Pizza Monkey
I belive we've met in real life! :) You read at one of the Peace Project get togethers that Jeff holds. I think it was the Bean Cup? down on County Line Rd. My husband Andrew played guitar and sang that night. I enjoyed your work and recognized it when I visited your page.
Thank you for visiting my profile. There is a book discussion group that meets at 1:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month at my White River Branch (1664 Library Boulevard in Greenwood). On March 26, they will be discussing "Girl in Hyacinth Blue" by Susan Vreeland. Local author Mamie Flesher Diehl will visit the same branch (at 6:30 p.m.) on March 19 to discuss her novel, "Going On and On."
The waiting poem is beautiful! More!! More!!
Thanks for adding me. Keep in touch when you can.
Hi John, I'm back! I don't find much time to be on here since I started working again. I hope you are well. Thanks so much for the updates on Poetry events. I pass them on to my club. I started a new club at the Writer's Center when the teacher cancelled on us - having a great time with the other two women exploring beginning writing - kind of like a W206 class without the MFA - In any case, thanks for keeping me in the loop. AND Happy Spring! .. Beth
I will be at Crackers in broad ripple on Tuesday if you want to come and see let me know.
