Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, I have been drawing and painting for most of my life as a side hobby. From age 16 to 22, I worked at an advertising agency as a graphic artist. Next I worked as a designer at a national magazine publisher which led to my interest in marketing and communications. After working for 7 years at a local nonprofit, I recently switched roles to my current job as a government communicator with the State of Indiana.

Education and Credentials

After earning my associates degree in business/marketing from IVYTech College, I transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University where I earned a bachelors degree in business management in 2001. I am currently attending Anderson University in pursuit of a masters degree in business administration.

Professional Affiliations & Community Involvement

An active member of the Decatur Central Lions Club, I am serving as president through July 2008. The highlight of my involvement was serving on a mission trip with the Indiana Lions District 25F in February 2006 to provide eyeglasses to the people of Mexico.

Honors and Awards

I have won numerous awards for art and photography, including Gold Key Finalist and portfolio awards from National Scholastics. In 2006, I placed first in photography at the Lions International Convention.

Hobbies

My passion for art and photography has followed through every aspect of my life. I enjoy painting and drawing, especially pen and ink (black and white) and mixed media. Although not formally trained in art or photography, I have more than twenty years of work experience where drawing, graphic design and photography have been a part of my job description. I recently purchased a camera for personal use and am enjoying looking for interesting subjects to photograph, especially flowers, trees and all nature.

My usual welcome is: I asked myself "Why don't I attempt to create a dialog with all of the other people who have "art" as one of their tags?" Though not knowing where the move might take me, I felt that the tag alone was reason enough to become a fan of yours.

I like your stuff on Redbubble. I'd never heard of Redbubble before. I may have to look into that.

I think I saw your picture next to the word diversified in the dictionary recently. You certainly have a lot of varied life experiences and you are adding to them as you tell us about yourself....cool, I'm jealous. I've run the mini the last 3 years. Maybe I'll see you when you pass me =) ...take care

Love the steel. Raptor & rest of Cedar Point rocks! Tall and fast always works. Although, lately I have enjoyed the simple coasters with quick 0-65 mph such as Top Gun, Rock'n Roller, etc. Best ride last year was Firehawk at King Island with the following features:Lie-to-fly,Horseshoe turn, Vertical loop, Double inline twist, & 450˚ downwards helix. I will do Fire & Ice, you must do Firehawk!

Thanks for participating on indy.com. If you have any questions about the site, feel free to send me a message or sign my guestbook. Now, to answer your question:

Can anyone post on here when the last day of the exhibit will be?

On the event page you'll see a calendar. There are orange arrows to the right and left of "January 2008." When clicking on the arrow to the right, you'll see that it takes you to February, but no further. The last date with a time on it is February 10th, so I'm pretty sure that is the last day of the exhibit.

Make sure to pick up the January 31st edition of Indy.com The Magazine. Your review for Barlo's Pizza made it in. Check out page 6 to find it. Congrats!
