Today:
I grew up in Indy/Irvington and as a home-schooled child I experienced the geekier side of Indy from a young age. I volunteered at the Children's museum in the 80's and 90's and was also a "Little Hoosier" member. All grown up now, I recently graduated from Herron School of Art and Design with a degree in painting. I enjoy reconstructing vintage clothing and shooting pool.

I asked myself "Why don't I attempt to create a dialog with all of the other people who have "art" as one of their tags?" Though not knowing where the move might take me, I felt that the tag alone was reason enough to become a fan of yours. Essex
Oh, how I love vintage clothing...Am not so good with a pool cue, tho.
According to legend, it was decreed by the Gods that a group of originals would be renamed in the image of the great indy.com (maybe the lead god's name is Indy Com...not sure about that).
Anyway, those who were loyal and true (collectively called Those Who Were Loyal and True) were renamed in the following style: firstname.lastname, and forged in the fires of the indy.com cyberspace.
Those brave souls were then tapped for life everlasting in what would be known as the Dotclub, and would have a cool nerd nickname for all eternity.
Henceforth, you are Nicoledot. I am Joedot. jim.walker is Jimdot, doug.hineline is Dougdot, and so on.
Our privilege and curse is that we must eternally seek out those believers and induct them into the club. Our souls ache for it, and our Gods demand it.
Happy New Year to all of you "art interest" people I'm a fan of. Perhaps our paths will cross at an art event in 2008. Perhaps in '08 there will be a loosely organized gathering of the indy.com arts community at an event or gallery walk. If so, or not, have a good one either way. Cheers!
Really nice work in your gallery. I think I met you once at a Herron Alum Board of Directors meeting. This would have been last year
I love that you reconstruct vintage clothing! I so heart vintage thrift store shopping.
I dig your photo gallery. Nice work. Art majors rawk. And so does not trying to be cool.
Thanks for putting the info on my wall. I hadnt been back to the post. Apparently I misunderstood. Glad to hear its not in a club, and at a different venue. I won't be able to attend because its my stepdads bday party, but I look forward to more events such as this in the future.
It was a pleasure to meet you as well! Nice to see you at practice. :) This show will be great!
Have a great day!
Friday night was a blast! YOU LOOKED FABULOUS! We'll have to do it all over again on April 4! I can't wait for Project IMA.
Hey Nicole! Looking forward to seeing your work this Friday!
I loved the outfit that I wore this morning! Your clothes are great. I showed my mom the segment online, and she loved the shrug? (not sure what its called) See you Friday!
Nicole, I think it was pretty impressive! You have a great line - I would love to shoot some of your clothes if the opportunity arises.
I haven't forgotten about you! this weekend is the Stutz Open house (where I have my studio) and it's been really hectic getting ready for it. We should do lunch and chat! :-)
