Today:
The Indianapolis Museum of Art has a collection of over 50,000 works of art. At the Museum, you will find art from a variety of cultures and periods in art history. The Museum also features national and international traveling exhibitions throughout the year. The IMA is located on 152 acres of gardens and grounds.
IMA! Welcome to Indy.com! I am very happy to see Indy's culture institutions joining in the online community. I am sure you will find lots of ways to promote your important mission and indy.com should be a useful way to find support, volunteers and patrons.
I'd especially like to see some photos in your gallery. You've probably got a billion different photos from the gardens, galleries and events. Why not show off a little?
Also, make sure to submit your releases and events to the editorial staff on a regular basis.
WELCOME ABOARD!
Hey! That Mike Rippy guy is doing a great job. He needs a big raise.
art museums rock! welcome 2 indy.com! if you'd like 2 do a show on my photos feel free to use them at no costs. i like 2 give back 2 the community.
It's lovely that you joined. Glad my favorite museum is finally here.
My usual first-time comment to those who have "art" as an interest: I asked myself "Why don't I attempt to create a dialog with all of the other people who have "art" as one of their tags?" Though not knowing where the move might take me, I felt that the tag alone was reason enough to become a fan of yours. Welcome to Indy.com.
Though the IMA is certainly not a "people", I had to become a fan (even though I already have been since the early days when the IMA was the John Herron Art Museum).
Glad to see you here!
Thanks for joining! Please contact me if you have any questions about the site.
Welcome!
Happy New Year to all of you "art interest" people I'm a fan of. Perhaps our paths will cross at an art event in 2008. Perhaps in '08 there will be a loosely organized gathering of the indy.com arts community at an event or gallery walk. If so, or not, have a good one either way. Cheers!
