Hi Herbert,
Sorry my breadsticks are not to your liking, but you can not get these from a store. These come from our vendor that specializes in Italian products and are from a Italian bakery in Chicago. I don't have regular ovens at the store to make our own breadsticks and wanted to provide something different and have dipping sauces.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Herbert,
Please, if the breadsticks come out lukewarm then let the management team know. It has been a learning curve in preparing these properly as we had not anticipated the volume that we would be doing. And again, Bazbeaux has a great product, but it is not homemade. They use the same vendor, just a different style of bread and preparation.
Re brews on tap, we don't have the cooler space to keep kegs, so that won't be coming. Hopefully you are enjoying some of the offering from the local breweries though.
Re outdoor seating, we are currently working on seating in the space we have in back and hope to have this open by late spring. There are a lot of hoops to jump thru w/being in a Historic District and until the Washington Street Scape takes place open in air in front would be extremely noisy. Plus we don't have a good way for servers to access the sidewalk area w/o having to stumble thru incoming customers. Our fingers are crossed that in the future we could get approval w/the IHPC to be able to redesign the windows in the west dining room so they could open up and have an open-air area there.
Thanks for your support and we are pleased to be in Irvington and hope it continues to prosper.
see, now I feel bad. I love you guys! I just, am really let down by the preparation of your accessory bread product I guess. They feel and taste like they are warmed up on site, not baked on site. Regardless of if they are actually baked on site or not, I would hope for a steaming hot breadstick that has been essentially toasted on site. I never have the guts to say anything bad in person, and so have to resort to annonymous rebel rousing on blogs, like comment cards. What a wimp I am! the open air west room would be sweet. I personally don't think Washington street would be too loud, people need to get over the fact that we stradle a busy street and work to calm it, but not reject it until it is calmed. but the point about traffic flow inside is good. The presence of people eating on the side walk might actually help calm traffic; people would feel the safety need inertly to slow down, and some may slow down to check out people eating. Just a thought. Again, I am a complete coward.
