Today:
Been living in Indy since the late '70's and love this town.
So I'm trying to find a listing of what's showing by theater location. Is it not here or am I just a fool? Thanks.
Can you catch a wave in Indy? The Ventures, Dick Dale, Link Wray..... I would love to hear some live music in Indy. There are ...
Any ideas.... be warned, you'll really be showing your age!
Has anyone ever done the Times Square New Years Eve thing? We have an apartment in Staten Island so a place to stay is not ...
I know you can create a CD from the music you download from itunes but will it be the same audio quality as the CD ...
Nice ride.
All right! I enjoyed our conversation by the DigiVan, TechnoVan or whatever you want to call it. No problem regarding the t-shirt. It was our pleasure. Welcome to site and thanks for participating. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Thank you for your kind words. It is really rewarding when users enjoy the sites we build. I think this is my favorite that I have helped build so far. And it is still just a beta site!
I prefer my sites to be VHS, personally.
You very well could have met me there! I was down there posted up on a sidewalk with the Indy.com van. Sound familiar?
Unfortunately, the demise of intakeweekly.com seems to have pulled it out of the vapors of the World Wide Web. I have a hard copy of it, but I'll ask the powers that be at INtake if they have a digital copy on file somewhere on one'a dem Internet machines at 307 Pennsylvania.
Also, as some background on the story, I just "reviewed" the different drive-ins in the area--5 total, including one in Shelbyville and one in Mooresville. Basically I rated everything on a 10-star scale, from screen quality to concessions to lot condition to sound.
There are more drive-ins around than you'd expect nowadays, and they still draw pretty decent crowds. Tibbs has the best food and most options (with 4 screens showing double features), but the Shelbyville theater has the best lot-it's all grass, even with cars driving on them all the time!
As a matter of fact I do have Martin Denny, Les Baxter, and Esquivel in my vinyl collection. I've got about 60 Hawaiian records as well...
Hey darlin'! Would you be shocked to know there ain't a one of them Pushrods with a computer? Hahahaha! :O) :O) :O)
I met one of those guys that put together the Hot Rod Hula Hop this past summer when I went to the Naptown Rollergirls derby in Dayton. Pretty nice guy. What you do in this here city for fun? You seem to have a pretty good grasp on lounge/tiki music. You ever go to Coconut Grove on the first Sunday at the Melody Inn?
Hey there! Yeah, Coconut Grove is at the Melody Inn this upcoming Sunday. Here's some info on it....
This time, we will feature: *Start the year off right with live lounge from the Lords of Leisure, the LEISURE KINGS! *Your Master of Ceremonies, Phil Keller, playing big band & lounge favorites
Doors start at 8pm.... only $5
Remember that Cocoanut Grove happens every 1st Sunday of the month! ALSO, our first 1-year anniversary will be on Sunday February 3rd... stay tuned for special show news on that.
I posted the info on Cocoanut Grove above this post. What other info you do ya need? Lemme know and I'll get it to ya...
nothing really.... just bought into your teaser- "stay tuned for special show news" I plan on getting here about 8:30.
Thanks! I'll keep everyone up to date on the book situation!
I was named after Cary Grant! Well technically.. after my dad whom was named after Mr. Grant. Ironically, his favorite car is a '57 chevy. If memory serves me, the fin at the back is almost identical but the pointy taillight sets the 56 and 57 apart. Nice ride nonetheless!
Don't know if you noticed, but Ben Neff posted my drive-in story on the drive-in thread. The pictures aren't there, but the text of the story is.
