Today:
I'm getting ready to move to Indy from L.A. for a pretty cool job . I'm looking to meet new friends to go out drinking with, dance salsa, go hiking, and whatever else fun comes up. I'm 34, single, and not really looking to get involved in any serious romantic relationships. Just looking for friends and fun. I'm pretty well read and cultured. D.H. Lawrence is my favorite author.
So I'm trying to decide whether to try to get a place right in downtown, or maybe out in Broad Ripple. Downtown would be nice, since I could walk to work, but Broad Ripple has a dog park, and a couple of salsa clubs I've found. Any comments on nightlife and any other quality of living issues would be welcome with regard to either location. Thanks!
Wellcome to Indy! Downtown living is cool, there is a place named Acapulco Joe's (Mexican Restaurant) where they play salsa upstairs, and i believe they have salsa lessons and dance at Barcelona (spanish Restaurant) upstairs.
You will find good bars on Meridian St. and at the Mass Avenue.
The first fridays of the month there's an event about exhibits on almost every gallery downtown (IDADA's first friday of the month)
Thanks for the tips!
