Today:
I am an artist. I want you all to see the joy in happy little turkeys. Let's celebrate turkeys in all their artistic wonder.
If it keeps me from ending up on the dinner plate, I'll gladly self-promote. But first I would like to thank the Indianapolis Star for ...
This is the greatest thing ever....
I'm simply awe struck. It's an art history course with a side of cranberry chutney. 'Turkey Creates Man' is astonishing. I wept. The world is forever indebted to you Bob. I mean, Mr. Turkey.
Brilliant! Loved seeing your homage turkeys.
Yay for newspaper readers. Perhaps we need an Indy.com page dedicated to THEM.
Awesome. Completely Awesome. Especially the snowboarding part lol
is that a tree or a turkey-fro?
It's a happy little 'fro
I heart your art.
Got a lot of extra time over there on the Turkey ranch.
R those lil happy trees?
Nice art! Did you recieve a presidential pardon in the last few days?
AHAHAHAHAH! "Persistence of Turkey"! AHAAHAHAHAH!
Johannes Vermeer? Okay, now I'm impressed.
I love Dali, but Mr. Turkey, I must say you've outdone him. Marvelous.
The Dali one kicks bootay! I also like the Vermeer, Warhol and Picasso. Hell, I like 'em all!
Wow, just wow.
Why did I just now get the Bob Ross homage on the last photo? I feel foolish.
Oh my goodness! How awesome are you? I think Turkey With a Pearl Earring is my favorite, although the Dali one rocks mightily, as well.
Bless you, BobTurkey.
I'm a fan of the turkey.
Happy New Year to all of you "art interest" people I'm a fan of. Perhaps our paths will cross at an art event in 2008. Perhaps in '08 there will be a loosely organized gathering of the indy.com arts community at an event or gallery walk. If so, or not, have a good one either way. Cheers!
Ready for what some might refer to as blatant self-promotion? Here goes I want to personally invite all of my Indy.com fans to stop by an art exhibit that will have two of my works in it. The exhibit, titled "Elegant Funk", will be at Wug Laku's Studio & Garage, Circle City Industrial Complex, 1125 Brookside Ave., Suite c7. The exhibit is a part of IDADAs First Friday event, Friday August 1, 5-9 pm.
To get to the gallery, drive NE on Mass Ave to where it "Ts" at 10th street just after the art district. Turn east onto 10th, then turn north at the second traffic light (Brookside). Look for the banner. Plenty of parking will be on the right, gallery on the left. For more info:
