Status messages

IndyLive statuses make it easy to follow what your friends are doing on Indy.com, or just to follow the conversation of all the users on Indy.com.

Some events you do on the site will automatically create a status, like starting a new post, commenting on a post, sharing a link or commenting on a photo.

You can also spontaneously post a status message for yourself, much like you do on sites like Facebook or Twitter (in fact, at some point down the road, we might tie IndyLive into those services for cross-posting).

You can follow all the activity on the site at any time via the IndyLive widget or by going to http://www.indy.com/indylive.

There is also a widget for your profile page that will display all the status updates attached to you on the site. It is also configurable to just show your spontaneous statuses instead of the automatic ones.
