This list comes out every year, and I love it, but it bears pointing out that the stories aren’t really censored. It’s merely that our shameful mainstream media deems them unworthy of coverage. After all, what are a million dead Iraqis in the face of a thing like Octomom? I think we all know what’s really important.

Great list. And yes, we all know the chick who shoved 8 embryos inside of her after she already a bunch she wasn’t paying for needs about two solid weeks of coverage, but you know, the people don’t really need to know that No Child Left Behind was just another way for FOB to pad their accounts.

I don’t want to hear about that woman again unless she gives birth to Natalee Holloway.

Thanks Drinky. These are things that are important for people to be aware of. This list is quite depressing, which is to be expected. Millions getting killed in war, millions of slaves around the world, people with different viewpoints from the norm being labeled terrorists, billions of dollars being wasted, pharmaceutical companies handing pills out like candy, civil liberties disappearing, increased arrests for non-violent crimes. All scary stuff.

One thing though. Is it me or are the majority of those articles from 2007?

There’s a good bit of 2008, too. That’s really what they should call it: The Most Censored Stories of 2008. But they compiled the thing at the beginning of 2009, so they call it that and confuse people. Also, I think they allow for considerable lag time to see if the mainstream media will pick up on these stories.
