So what did we think of "Star Trek?
It sounds like quite a few of us bought into it considering its opening-weekend gross puts it only about $30 million behind the previously highest-grossing “Trek,” which means by the end of next weekend it could be THE highest-grossing “Trek” film.
So thoughts? Love it? Hate it? Blah?

I, as a total non-Trekkie/er, loved it. As the daughter of someone who’s a huge fan, I can appreciate that the movie somehow managed to maintain a small amount of the campiness from the original movie.
And as a female with eyes, I loved it.

I liked it a lot. I’m not one who cares too much about “canon” but I still appreciated that they made the reboot work within the constraints of everything that’s come before it. I think that it’s safe to say that this was my 2nd favorite Trek movie, behind Wrath of Khan.
I’m happy.
