Many of us have a place — or maybe more than one — that brings us peace, joy and calm. Many of us have a place that excites, restores or challenges. Many of us have places that we find to be beautiful, energetic and fun.

As preparations get underway for the 2009 Spirit and Place Festival this fall, WFYI Public Broadcasting is celebrating this year’s theme “Inspiring Places,” by encouraging individuals to submit photos of their favorite places to visit in Central Indiana. Between now and July 31, 2009, you can upload your photos here: www.wfyi.org/spiritedchase and explain why you find these destinations so fascinating.

From all of the submissions, WFYI Public Broadcasting will select six and transform them into a “Spirited Chase” adventure on Saturday, November 7, as part of the opening weekend of the Spirit and Place Festival. The Spirited Chase will be an exciting excursion that lets you visit each fun-filled destination and experience the power of its allure.
