A Good Time

I went tonight and it was pretty good. He did try to make it an Obama rally which was kind of annoying but it's not that big of a deal. Common does need to learn what an encore is though. I thought those were pretty standard but I guess not.

Common 4/3 @ Clowes

Had a great time at Common's show last night. Backed by a quality DJ and then you had Smurf on the ivories (regret that I cant remember the DJs name). Common has a great energy and really connects with his audience. The best part of the night for me was the brief freestyle rhyme (that touched on his day in Indy [would it not have been d0pe to run across the man for lunch at Yats?!?], the Bulldogs… etc).

Good crowd… interesting venue for such a show… good sound (if maybe a bit loud for my taste)… and gotta give props to Adrian, who is a fine young local lady who was brave enough to go up on stage (and haha, kinda get groped on by Common--- I know a lot of ladies who'd have been swatting his hand away… then again… I'm sure many would more than welcome such a chance!).
