Saw 12 angry men - good!

We saw the show and really enjoyed it. Though set in 1954 it has themes still realative to today. The actors got 2 standing ovations at the show we went to.

12 angry men

Brilliantly written, this is a timeless look into the American judicial system and the American male psyche. Although conceived and set 50 years ago, little has changed in the jury rooms across America or in the minds of its people. This show is not only worth seeing it should be required. Strong casting around the table takes the audience along for a very fast paced 90 minute voyeuristic trip into the jury room. Richard Thomas' performance was competent albeit somewhat stiff. Consummate professionals Jeffrey Hyenga and James Greene are a joy to watch. Three particularly stellar performances thrust this viewer into the ugly uncomfortable truth of prejudices and preconceived notions, those of Julian Gamble, Mark Morettini and Kevin Dobson. In Dobson's case, it's a shame we haven't seen him in more rolls of substance over the years. He's a truly gifted actor.
