Watched the show last night at the Vogue
I was at the Vogue and have seen both Flogging Molly and Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band on last years Green 17 Tour. While the show was decent the crowd was disappointing. It seemed to me that everyone, outside of a few, was just putting on a front to be at the lastest show. I was at the last years Nashville show and it was insane. People should have been jumping from the rafters. I will say that Flogging Molly didn't put on a long or even one of their better sets, but even a mediocre Molly set is still better than 90 percent of the crap out there. Reverend Payton was still great as usual, but this is a Flogging Molly reveiw. I hope at more shows the crowd will get into it.
Hard working LA band has made it!
There's a bar in Los Angeles called The Shack. it's a great little bar and the first bar I ever went to in LA because they had a big Ohio State sign in the window. they're the official OSU bar in Santa Monica and it became that way because the then manager was an OSU grad. The same manager, George, was also the drummer in a band that was trying to make it. That band was Flogging Molly and they are awesome! It's great to see a hard working band actually make it. Very cool irish rock band. Go see these guys!
