gotta see it

I love seeing the student art work at the Art Center! Don't let the word "student" fool you -- this is some pretty stellar talent. Some pieces you can even buy right off the wall!

Great show, wide range of mediums

Like most large shows at the IAC this one is a treat.

As a furniture maker I was down on my knees scrutinizing some of the furniture on display. It was all of a very high caliber, nice work. Especially a couple of the case pieces and if traditional is your thing there's a nice craftsman style piece in the main gallery.

If you have any interest in the arts scene in Indy you owe it to yourself and the young people involved in the scene to go check out this show. The opening itself was a lot of fun and very well attended.

Proud to teach here

As a staff member and a faculty member at the Indianapolis Art Center I must say that I am so proud of our students. From the beginners to the professionals the quality of work is inspiring. I find the beginning work to be especially interesting as those students have no art degrees and have only had one or two classes. A must see especially for those of you wanting to find your own creative spark. Oh, and as a printmaking instructor, check out the awesome prints in the show!

gets to see this work on a daily basis, I highly recommend you take a moment this week to stop by the Art Center and check out the show. The range of talent is amazing and clearly shows the individuality of the students.
