OK, acting buffs and theatre afficiandos, if you have promised yourself that you are going to do something with the theatre this year, don’t let yourself down! Bob Rini is offering a beginning acting workshop starting Janurary 21. According to a recent press release that I received, “The classes are intended for Adults 18 and older. The cost is $15 per student per class. By the end of six sessions students will learn the skills to be successful at auditioning for community theater productions. Classes are held at the Stage Actors’ Workshop’s performance space at the Freemasons’ Hall Theater, 525 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204. The Theater is located at the southeast corner of Illinois and North Streets, about one-mile north of Monument Circle; Free parking is available around the building. Phone 201-3436 for information and registration.”
Also Rini’s troupe is holding auditions for “Godspell” on January 18, so you don’t have to wait until the classes start to make good on your promise to get more involved with the stage. If you are in any upcoming productions let us know how the rehearsals are going and when we can check you out. We love to acknowledge our local actors.
