Football Purdue gets 3 recruits

Three seniors from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Fla., chose Purdue: receivers O.J. Ross and Chevin Davis and cornerback Ricardo Allen . Ross caught 34 passes for 693 yards (20.4 average) and 10 touchdowns as a junior.

Basketball Purdue women ranked

The Purdue women’s basketball team is ranked No. 23 in the ESPN/USA Today preseason poll. The Boilermakers are not ranked by The Associated Press.
