Indianapolis metropolitan police today arrested a man accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl.

Rachad M. Strong, 29, was arrested without incident shortly after noon at an apartment in the 2700 block of Graham Avenue, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Thompson said.

Strong had been wanted on five counts of child molest and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is accused of molesting the girl three times between July and August, police said.

Police say Strong provided alcohol and prescription drugs to the girl before assaulting her at a location near the 3900 block of Arlington Avenue.

Three of the molest charges Strong faces are Class A felonies, each of which carries a maximum of 50 years in prison if convicted.
