NOBLESVILLE — Folks can taste, buy and vote for their favorite bowl of soup from eight downtown restaurants at the First Friday Soup Cookoff.

A monthly event of Noblesville Main Street, the cookoff is 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday on the Courthouse Square in downtown.

Participating restaurants include: Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano, The Hamilton Restaurant, Barley Island Brewing Co., Eddie’s Corner Caf, Logan Street Marketplace, Alexander’s on the Square, Asian Grill and The Uptown Caf.

The Noblesville Lions Club will sell sandwiches to go with the soups. Some merchants will be open late.

Friday also kicks off the annual Downtown Merchant Holiday Open House. Merchants, for the next two weekends, will offer sales and games during holiday open houses.

Open house dates are Friday through Sunday and Nov. 13-15.
