North Central High School musicians will set the scene for a movie screening at a Northside church.

The North Central High School Bass Ensemble will play three songs Friday before Epworth United Methodist Church hosts a showing of the 1989 documentary “Whalesong,” said Jodi Perras, church spokeswoman.

The ensemble, directed by Robert Goodlet, assistant principal contrabassist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, will play movements from Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” and “Bass Rap” by Peter Hansen.

The event starts at 7 p.m. Friday at the church, 6450 Allisonville Road.
