Ever wonder how much Google knows about you? If you have a Gmail account, watch videos on YouTube, store presentations on Google Docs or make calls through Google Voice, it’s no wonder.

The first Web site on this month’s Seven Sites list may not put your mind at ease, but it will enlighten you.

1. www.google.com/dashboard:> I guess Google doesn’t want to be thought of as Big Brother. It launched this Web service, dubbed Dashboard, so users can see what the online software giant knows about them. Users can review and delete recent Google searches, see recently opened and shared documents, and track their interactions with other Google-powered sites, such as YouTube. All the information appears in a nice, easy-to-understand, easy-to-modify list.

It’s scary, though, to realize exactly how much Google really does know about me.

2. www.nobetterdeal.com: Just in time for the holidays — that is, just in time for those super early-bird shoppers — here’s a Web site for bargains. Here, you can find deals on products that have been liquidated or are surplus. You’ll find more electronics than anything else, but also expect to see deals on furniture and toys.

3. http://twibbon.com: Twittering just to Twitter sometimes just isn’t enough. Now, you can Twitter for a cause. This Web site allows you to add a little icon to the profile picture you use on the microblogging site Twitter to support everything from breast cancer awareness to Elvis to Microsoft. It’s definitely a mixed bag.

4. www.oyster.com: The Internet is full of sites where consumers rate and review the hotels where they’ve stayed. These sites are useful, but sometimes it’s good to get another outside, expert opinion. You’ll find that here — at least for a handful of resort areas and tourist traps, including New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

What’s cool about this site is it’s exhaustive. The reviewers have posted literally hundreds of photos for each hotel they visited and pages of information about each one’s amenities. You’ll also find rankings for family-friendliness, celebrity sightings and more.

5. www.pingg.com: Sometimes on the Web, when a company is so ubiquitous, it may seem like there’s only one way to do things. Many people may feel this way about using Evite.com, for sending party invitations online. But in reality, there are several alternatives. This Web site is one of them. Here, you can send invitations via e-mail that look more like greeting cards printed on paper, with big, colorful designs, drawings and photographs. You also can upload an image of your own. Pingg.com also supports sending invites via text message and on social networks, so integration is easy. Check it out. This site is a great alternative to the Evite status quo.

6. www.apple.com/itunes /charts/songs: It seems that Apple has finally realized that iTunes is not installed on every computer in the world. The company launched this Web site, called iTunes Preview, so users can access information about songs on sale in iTunes without launching the actual application. Go here and you’ll get a slimmed-down version of the popular music application, including biographies on artists, reviews, and details on the cost and length of songs. The one thing you can’t do is preview songs. I guess you can’t have it all.

7. www.getgrossedout.com: This site is for the days when you’re feeling like a fifth-grader. Here you can upload a picture of your friends and decorate it with squishy eyeballs, ugly sunglasses or vampire teeth, and e-mail it to them. It’s like the high-tech version of drawing a moustache on a picture.
