S. Ind. teen found dead behind home
ROCKPORT, Ind. — State police say a 15-year-old Southern Indiana girl was found dead behind a shed near her home nearly 24 hours after she was last seen.
Authorities said they were working today to determine the cause of death for the girl from the Ohio River town of Rockport.
Spencer County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived at the girl’s home Monday night on a report that the girl was missing.
They were told she had been last seen about 10 p.m. Sunday.
State police say a deputy searching the area around her home found the body about 9:30 p.m.
The girl’s identity was not immediately released.
