CARMEL — Carmel Clay Schools will be giving students packets of information today to take home about the school district’s H1N1 immunization clinics set for Nov. 16.

Included in the information packets are consent forms for the vaccination to be returned by Friday. Parents have the choice to give or deny consent for the vaccine, the letter states.

The letter from Steve Dillon, director of student services, instructs parents to direct any questions about the H1N1 vaccine to their health providers not the schools.

Carmel Clay Schools will not be informed on the amount of vaccine available until Nov. 13, Dillon said.

If the schools doesn’t have enough vaccine to hold the clinics, parents will be informed using the School Messenger Notification System.
