FinishMaster earnings fall 38%

Indianapolis — Downtown-based FinishMaster, a national distributor of paints, coatings and accessories for automotive collision repair, has reported it earned $2.9 million, or 38 cents per share, during its third quarter.

The quarter’s earnings were a 38 percent drop compared with the same period a year ago, when it had net income of $4.7 million, or 60 cents per share.

Net sales decreased 14.6 percent to $105 million. Lower repairable automobile claim activity throughout the United States hit the bottom line. (Star report)
